Salary: BG6 - BG7 SCP 6 -11, depending on experience

Full time salary range: £25,989 - £28,142 pro rata

Actual salary range: £17,199 - £18,624 (based on 28 hours)

Hours: Four days per week, From 08:30 to 16:00 (28 hours per week) or 8:15 to 16:15 (30 hours per week)

Term Time Only - 5 days inset attendance required (pro rata)

Start Date: As soon as possible

JOB OVERVIEW

Elmlea Schools encompasses the Elmlea Infant School and Elmlea Junior school. Both schools are renowned for their all-round education. On 1st March 2025, Elmlea Schools Trust became part of the larger Multi-Academy Trust, Russell Education Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join the Business Team at Elmlea Schools as an Office Administrator to support the office and administration functions of Elmlea Infant School and Elmlea Junior School. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful team member to work within the Office Team. Working across the Elmlea Schools to provide effective administrative support to the Schools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing a professional, friendly and efficient first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff, visitors and contractors, dealing and responding to enquiries received.
  • Undertake a wide range of administrative support to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Collate and provide information including database and statistical information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Providing first day contact with parents/carers.
  • Prepare and circulate regular communication to parents/carers to ensure that communication with parents/carers is regular and accurate.
  • Provide effective communication and administration for all school activities and events held by the school.
  • Provide first aid and administration of medication to pupils and ensure its recorded in line with the schools’ systems.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Be an experienced administrator, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Have high levels of organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise work at peak times
  • Preferably have experience in a school management system, ideally Arbor
  • Have good IT skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Have excellent people management skills
  • Possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths & English
