About The Music Works
The Music Works is a Gloucestershire charity that transforms young lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people (age 8-30) in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning and in life. We work with over 3,000 young people a year in schools and our four community studios in Gloucester, and the Forest of Dean. Our approach is youth-led, with young people involved at every stage of planning and delivery.
About the Role
As part of our reception team, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors to The Music Works. You’ll manage the reception desk independently during your shifts, welcoming people, answering enquiries, supporting bookings and helping the Hub run smoothly.
This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll meet lots of different people and will need to be confident, approachable and organised, while also being comfortable taking responsibility and working independently.
You’ll also play an important role in keeping the Hub safe. You’ll manage our visitor sign-in system, be alert to anything that doesn’t seem right and know when to ask other members of the team for support.
Alongside reception, you’ll help with a range of administration, including studio bookings, data entry, meeting arrangements and supporting programmes and events.
