About the role
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our busy Payroll team on a part time (30 hours per week), temporary contract (c 9 months) to help us manage our workloads as we are transitioning to our new payroll system. You'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end payroll service, ensuring employees receive the right pay at the right time while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and pension regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys solving problems and delivering outstanding customer service in an employee focussed environment.
What you'll be doing:
*Processing monthly payroll for approximately 1,400 employees
*Processing starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime and payroll adjustments
*Administering pensions, including auto-enrolment and pension scheme compliance
*Calculating statutory payments, deductions, and salary adjustments in line with sickness/ maternity etc policies.
*Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
*Producing payroll reports and supporting Finance with reconciliations
*Any other duties required to support the busy Payroll / HR administration team
What we're looking for
*At least 2 years' experience in end-to-end payroll administration
*Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and pensions
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
*Experience using payroll systems such as Access SelectPay, Dayforce or similar
*Strong Excel and data management skills
*A professional, customer-focused approach with the ability to meet deadlines
