The Role
Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, the role of Merchandise Manager is pivotal in leading and delivering the Merchandise strategy across the business. The role is critical in driving commercial outcomes whilst ensuring operational efficiency.
Working collaboratively with other departments to deliver the Merchandising strategy aligned with the brand vision. You will be responsible for a key department such as Menswear, Womenswear, Outlets or Branch Merchandising whilst orchestrating the forward planning.
You Will
- Create a merchandising strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives
- Set the financial plan for each future season
- Work with finance ensuring budget alignments
- Manage OTB for multiple seasons, communicating risk and opportunities to exec level
- Drive process improvements across the teams
- Work closely with the product teams to build a commercial range using data driven insight and knowledge
- Drive trade focus across the Merchandising teams and channel leads
- Lead WSSI focus for teams whilst managing inventory and stock levels across territory and channels
- Collaborate with commercial departments to ensure timely product launches and promotions
- Empower your team through coaching and development
- Communicating financials to exec and the wider business
- Supporting and influencing the space planning strategy
- Deputising for head of merchandising
You Are
- Currently in a senior Merchandising position within a fast based fashion business
- Highly analytical and able to translate to key messages
- Able to demonstrate a commercial awareness to support decision making
- An excellent communicator to all levels
- Capable of delivering on KPIs with a proven track record
- Experienced in inventory management and branch merchandising
- Ideally experienced across multiple fashion categories including Menswear, Womenswear and Accessories
- A strong leader with evidence of coaching and developing teams
- An advanced user of MS Office suite, in particular Excel
