Quality Control Technician
Location: Leominster
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Control Technician to join a well-established business in Leominster that design and manufacture a signature collection of fixtures. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement.
You will play a key role in safeguarding product quality by carrying out inspections, testing, and root cause analysis, while working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and drive best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
* Measure dimensions, test functionality, and identify defects or non-conformances
* Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality metrics
* Prepare reports to monitor trends, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
* Maintain and calibrate testing and measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO frameworks)
* Support and train production staff on quality standards and best practices
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to promote a strong culture of quality and accountability
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in a Quality Control / Quality Assurance role within manufacturing or engineering
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach
* Working knowledge of quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards)
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience using quality management systems and recording inspection data
* Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
