Youth Projects Manager

Are you passionate about empowering young people and the communities that support them? FVAF are looking for a Youth Projects Manager to lead our group support and capacity building work, strengthening youth and community provision right across the Forest of Dean.
The Role
- Lead the development of the Forest Youth Network, building strong representation, shared ownership and peer support across youth and community providers
- Provide direct support and mentoring to community groups on governance, strategic planning, volunteer development and fundraising
- Co-develop a quality assurance framework and support training pathways for staff, volunteers and young people
- Capture and amplify youth voice, connecting lived experience directly to local change
- Build relationships with schools, statutory partners and stakeholders, and line manage our team of Neighbourhood Connectors
Who We're Looking For
- At least 3 years' experience working or volunteering with young people and families
- A strong relationship-builder, comfortable working with community organisations, professionals, young people and families
- Good knowledge of the youth sector and the barriers young people can face engaging with their communities
- Experience in capacity building, mentoring, partnership development or governance support
- Confidence handling safeguarding concerns proactively, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle
