Commercial Manager

OVERALL PURPOSE

Income Generation

• To assist all departments at DHC in pursuing income generation.
• Drive revenue and by working to agreed targets, supporting each revenue stream by analysing prices, costs and margins.
• Support the Coffee Shop, including business analysis, marketing and promotion.
• Manage the EPOS system, including all reporting, ensuring that the system is fit for purpose & efficient.
• Identify & implement new commercial opportunities across all revenue streams.
• Ensure sustainability & ethics are at the forefront of all commercial initiatives.

Marketing

• Provide line management of the Events & Marketing Officer, undertaking all line management responsibilities.
• Work with the Events & Marketing Officer to ensure messaging is consistent with the current aims and objectives in the Marketing Plan.

Fundraising

• Ensuring that the donations strategy set by the Centre Manager is followed.
• Maximise opportunities to bring in donations across the site, utilising online platforms and on-site messaging.

Retail

• Develop & manage the DHC’s retail offer – including merchandising, ensuring attractiveness, profitability & sustainability, utilising ecommerce to increase sales.
• Ensure appropriate stock management systems are in place to manage product sourcing, supplier selection, purchasing & stock control to maximise margins & profitability.
• Supervise the Front of House volunteer team

Duty Management

• Act as a Duty Manager, as part of a rota with other DHC staff.
