Head Chef/ F&B Manager
Gloucester
Job Purpose and Scope
The F&B Manager is a key part of the Over Farm team responsible for food and beverage offerings across the entire site and beyond.
The role involves managing a catering team including both permanent and temporary staff, managing stock levels and hitting financial and growth targets.
Job Objectives
- Create a plan of how and when this new arm of the business will roll out across the entire company, including but not limited to weddings, events, Countryside Adventure, day nursery and potential production for Over Farm Market.
- Collaborate with other managers to establish what F&B offerings are required now and what will be required in the future.
- Collaborate with the company’s support team for recruitment and HR, financial reporting, marketing, and other administrative tasks.
- Work with the company partners to establish future growth opportunities.
- Develop thorough systems and processes to maintain quality standards across all areas without the need for micromanagement.
- Establish a set of delicious menus that allow for minimal waste by utilising similar ingredients across the site.
- Recruit the best people for any available positions within the F&B areas.
- Maintain high levels of motivation by offering continued training and development for the assembled team.
- Closely manage stock levels and wastage utilising EPOS systems and other relevant processes.
- Work with the finance team to develop and maintain budgets, margin analysis and KPI’s.
- Work with the CEO/MD to establish a plan for future and growth of current offering.
- Have maximum fun whilst offering our customers the best experience.
- Maintain high levels of safe food and keeping recording within Safer Food Better Business.
- Moving with food trends to keep our menu and choices popular, fresh and sustainable.
- Providing a high level of customer service from the food trailer to the weddings.
- Always look for new business outlets to branch out into.
