The Role - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned and influential Supply Chain Leader to join a prominent business in the aerospace and defence sector.

The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing the supply chain function for a new branch within the business offering a unique and exciting opportunity.

Taking a strategic approach, you'll ensure the successful design and delivery of supply chain development and growth.

Duties - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

* Provide strategic vision and lead the design and delivery of the supply chains
* Execute the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including:

* Strategy development
* Supplier identification and evaluation
* Spend and market analysis
* Negotiation of long?term agreements

* Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
* Conduct global market research to identify suppliers that enhance business value.
* Run RFQs and assess supplier capabilities.
* Lead all site and cross-site supply chain activities.
* Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships.
* Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and corrective actions.

Background - Strategic Supply Chain Manager

* Bachelor's degree (Preferable)
* Significant evidence of supply chain career progression.
* Knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
* Knowledge of contractual requirements & supply chain processes.
* Innovation or other early-stage business creation experience
