New Business Insurance Sales Negotiator - Part-time
Cheltenham
Based in Cheltenham town centre, M R Ratcliffe Consultants Limited is a specialist insurance broker focusing on the transport industry. We are now one of the UK’s largest independent operators, advising and arranging many different types of insurance cover.
We require an experienced New Business Sales Negotiator to work as part of our Wholesale team. The purpose of this role is to obtain new business fromour sub-broker partners based on their customers’ requirements.
Key tasks:
- To negotiate new business with insurers and other insurance brokers
- To liaise with insurance companies and build relationships with our wholesale brokers
Candidates should have the following skills:
- An understanding and working knowledge of commercial related insurance policies, predominantly Commercial Vehicle, Employers & Public Liability and Goods In Transit
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Sirius - SSP (or experience of using a similar system)
- A confident telephone manner and the ability to be accurate and precise whilst working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- A friendly and approachable personality with the ability to adapt to customer requirements with patience and understanding
Holiday: 31 days per annum including Bank Holidays pro rata
