Job Title: Lead Teaching Assistant – One Hub 

Salary: OCL SCP 13 - 17 + LGPS (£29,064 – £31,022) FT equivalent)

Hours 34.17 hours (Monday to Friday – Term-Time only).

Actual Salary – term-time only (£23,087 – £24,642)

Closing Date: 9am on Monday 13th July 2026

Interviews: shortly following closing date

Start date: 1st September 2026

Contract: Fixed Term – 12 months

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support students pastorally to achieve and be the best version of themselves on a daily basis via our One Hub provision. The One Hub is our onsite alternative provision hub to support students with SEMH needs. You will work in close collaboration with other pastoral staff working holistically and preventatively to ensure learner well-being and attainment by providing care, support and challenge for the students and families within the One Hub. You will promote positive attendance and punctuality through the Academy Attendance strategy and provide professional support to vulnerable students and their families to include access to multi-agency support.

Please note that a teaching qualification is not required for this role.

You should enjoy working with disadvantaged young people and be able to establish positive working relationships; setting and upholding high expectations for learning and behaviour. 

The Successful Candidate

Do you have the passion and skills to change the lives of young people in South Bristol by becoming an influence who believes, makes a difference and supports our students to achieve beyond their expectations? The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships

• Be a good team player upholding the Academy systems, culture and expectations

• Have an experience of working within education establishment

• Have good level of ICT skills, i.e., Microsoft Package

• Be able to demonstrate flexibility and very good organisational skills

• Have emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes

• Have a good sense of humour
