GCSE Grades 9-4 in English and Maths or relevant professional qualification
Experience in Pastoral Support with young people in one range of fields such as education, youth work, health and social work.
Be proactive, organised, and committed to maintaining high expectations for all.
Be an excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Be confident in using data to inform decision-making, or be willing to develop these skills through training.
Be fully aligned with the school's vision and values.

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting student wellbeing, and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supervising the Ready for Learning room and supporting students to successfully re-engage with learning.
Building positive relationships with parents and carers to support student progress and behaviour.
Working closely with students who are repeatedly referred from lessons, providing guidance and intervention to help them succeed.
Providing individual pastoral support to students where needed.
Supporting readmission meetings following periods of suspension or other interventions.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every student is supported on their journey to achieve their ambitions, whether that is progressing to a leading university or pursuing the career of their choice
