Sports Coach

Permanent – 4 hours per week (currently Tuesday 1.40pm – 3.40pm & Thursday 1.40pm – 3.40pm, the postholder will be required to work some Saturday mornings, which are paid as a one-off set fee. The requirements for this will be discussed at interview).

At Pate’s, the PE curriculum allows all students to thrive through a challenging, supportive and varied learning journey. Students are introduced to more activities and are given an increasing amount of choice as they progress through the school. In addition to the core PE and Games curriculum, we also offer GCSE and A Level PE.

The curriculum is supported by an outstanding level of extra-curricular provision, allowing students to develop the multitude of benefits competitive sport offers. In addition to a thriving set of House Sport competitions, team practices occur at Lunchtime and after school with many mid-week and Saturday fixtures against state and independent schools. We run a wide range of sports, both recreationally and competitively, some of which to a national level.

We are extremely proud of our provision which is staffed by a team of six specialist PE teachers, three cover supervisor sports coaches, external coaches and teachers from across school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our school in our thriving PE and Sport department. It is desirable that the candidate has some confidence in coaching and umpiring netball, as well as other activities delivered in our curriculum.

You will be passionate and committed to inspiring our students in netball, and the other sports that we offer.

Your experience, energy, resilience and excellent communication skills will mean you are an ideal candidate for this role.
