Stratton Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and Pastoral Leader to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children both academically and emotionally, helping every child to flourish and unlock their potential for lifelong learning.

As part of our caring and inclusive school community, you will work closely with children, families, teachers and external agencies to ensure that pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

The successful candidate will be class based in the morning as a Teaching Assistant and will then undertake their Pastoral Leader time in the afternoon. Within this role we will be looking for someone who is able to:

• Provide high-quality classroom support across the school.
• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Lead pastoral support for pupils experiencing emotional, social or behavioural challenges.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Support attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding initiatives.
• Work alongside class teachers to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for all pupils.
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies where appropriate.
• Promote the school's Christian values and inclusive ethos.

The successful candidate will also be required to undertake 2.5 hours of midday supervisor role delivering play therapies with targeted individuals.

We warmly encourage you to come and have a look around our school and meet with our Headteacher so that you may see first hand our amazing team, wonderful site and ever improving facilities.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
