We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties and cognition and learning needs. Working alongside class teachers, the SENDCo, and other professionals, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve success.
A significant part of this role will involve supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will help create engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's individual developmental needs, promoting communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development, and early literacy and numeracy skills. You will be passionate about ensuring all children receive the very best start to their educational journey through high-quality support and intervention.
The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 point 5 for 27.5 hours for the TA contract (Monday-Friday, 8:45-12:15pm and 1:15-3:15pm)
This role will also have an additional Midday Supervisor contract for 2.5 hours per week at Grade 2 point 4 (30 mins per day between 12:15 and 1:15 (timing dependent on staffing needs).
This advertised role is therefore for 30 hours total per week.
This is a fixed term role and attached to EHCP funding. Currently until 31 August 2027.
