Stratton Church of England Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children to flourish, develop a love of learning and unlock their potential for lifelong learning.
As part of our friendly and inclusive school community, you will work closely with class teachers to support children’s learning, encourage independence and help every child achieve their best.
We are looking for someone who is able to:
• Provide effective support for teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour.
• Support the class teacher in raising standards and ensuring all children make progress.
• Build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• Bring initiative, enthusiasm, integrity and a cheerful disposition to the role.
• Promote our school’s Christian values and inclusive ethos.
Previous experience or a Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
The post is a fixed term contract but there may be opportunity for it to be extended.
We can offer you a supportive and welcoming team, wonderful children who enjoy learning, and opportunities to develop your skills through professional development.
We warmly encourage you to come and visit our school, meet our team and see first-hand what makes Stratton such a special place to learn and work.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
