About the Role

The UPPA plays a key role in ensuring that students are supported to thrive by identifying and removing barriers to learning and personal development, including attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing needs.

• Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a first point of contact for students and parents/carers

• Providing day-to-day pastoral support

• Working with staff and external agencies to coordinate support

• Supporting attendance improvement

• Managing behaviour systems and supporting students

• Supporting safeguarding processes and maintaining records

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone with:

• Experience working with young people

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Understanding of safeguarding and pastoral care

• Strong organisational skills and resilience

Working Hours

37 hours per week, term-time only plus INSET days (44.75 weeks per year)

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Remuneration

Grade: G (Points 8–20)

Salary: £23,020 – £27,975 actual (£26,824 – £32,597 FTE), dependent on experience
