Pre-school SEND Practitioner - initially fixed term until 31/7/26 but with the possibility to move up with the child as they move to Reception in September 2026.
Little Explorers, based at Fairford Primary School, is seeking an exceptional Pre-school SEND Practitioner to join our warm and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a vibrant and reflective school community that values inclusivity, high-quality practice and strong teamwork.
In this role, you will work alongside the existing practitioners and the Pre-school manager and under the guidance of the school’s EYFS Lead to oversee the day to day running of the pre-school. You will help to create a caring, safe and stimulating environment where children can thrive, and you will play a key role in delivering high quality early education and care.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a genuine passion for working with young children
• Is an outstanding practitioner with at least one year of experience in an Early Years setting
• Has experience of working with children with SEND
• Has sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and related programmes/strategies
• Has experience and understanding of assessment and record keeping requirements in an Early Years environment
• Is a proactive, positive and collaborative team player
• Has excellent interpersonal skills
• Is warm, approachable and able to build strong relationships with families to support children settling into education
• Makes learning engaging, challenging and inspiring and is able to adapt learning where needed
• Demonstrates commitment to professional development and proactively addresses areas for improvement

Hours: 30.00 hours per week (term time only), initially arranged as follows:
• Monday- Friday: 8.30am – 3.00pm
Grade will be dependant on experience and qualifications.
