Thrive Education is seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of schools across Gloucester and the surrounding areas. If you have experience working with children and a passion for supporting their growth and development, we want to hear from you. Qualifications are desirable but not essential — what matters most is your dedication to helping young learners "thrive".
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons.
Work with individual children or small groups to provide targeted support.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Encourage and promote the social, emotional, and educational development of all children.
Provide 1:1 support to those most in need as they try to access an education.
Requirements:
Experience working with children (in school, nursery, or other relevant settings).
A genuine passion for education and child development.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach.
A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Desirable (but not essential):
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Knowledge of the national curriculum and classroom routines.
Experience working those children with additional needs.
What We Offer:
Competitive daily rates of pay on our PAYE payroll.
Opportunities for ongoing training and development.
Flexible placements to suit your availability and preferences.
Support from a friendly and experienced team.
The chance to make a lasting difference in children’s lives.
If you’re ready to inspire, support, and make a positive impact, apply today. Let’s help children reach their full potential — together. Placing professionals and not just plugging gaps.
