About the Role
Bridge Training are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Teacher of Photography and Creative Media with a strong background or interest in photography. You'll join a supportive, student-focused team dedicated to delivering innovative, industry-relevant lessons to learners aged 14–19, many of whom have faced challenges in traditional education settings.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a small but impactful alternative education provider that changes young lives across Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that develop learners’ practical and theoretical understanding of photography and creative media.
- Support learners in building employability and industry-relevant digital skills.
- Plan, prepare and assess teaching materials aligned with awarding body requirements.
- Integrate industry-standard software and creative platforms into teaching.
- Promote a positive, safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support learners to make progress, achieve qualifications, and prepare for employment.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
- Uphold safeguarding policies using CPOMS and participate in relevant training.
- Contribute to curriculum development and whole-centre events (e.g., open days, parents’ evenings).
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong interest or background in Photography and Creative Media
- Experience working with young people or in a vocational training environment
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education
- Ability to deliver high-quality, inspiring lessons
- Willingness to undertake teacher training if not yet qualified (full support provided)
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience working with learners with additional or complex needs
- Knowledge of current digital tools and trends in the creative media industry
