St David’s CofE Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our school team and support pupil learning in class. This TA will also be required to work MDSA hours during the week to supervise pupils during lunchtimes.

The successful candidate will:

- Have the ability to build supportive relationships with children providing the necessary guidance and instruction to help pupils grow towards achieving their full potential

- Be patient and have a positive attitude

- Have strong behaviour management skills and a variety of behaviour management strategies

- Be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the busy life of the school

- Experience of working with children who have cognition and learning needs

- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school

The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 Point 5-6 (depending on the candidate) for the Teaching Assistant hours, and Grade 2 Point 3 for the MDSA hours, on a permanent basis.

This is a part-time post for 21 hours 40 minutes (21.66 hours) per week in total. 16 hours 40 minutes will be for the Teaching Assistant role. 5 hours will be for the MDSA role.

This post will begin as soon as possible in September, subject to completion of safer recruitment checks.
