Our Site Team works closely together.
Our aim is to provide the best possible learning environment for our students and community, so you will need to be committed to maintaining and improving the school environment, ensuring at all times the health, safety and security of all those who work in, or visit, our school.
Working in a school environment does not suit everyone, and you will need to be happy working alongside both students and adults. No two days are the same in a school so you will need to be flexible and adaptable in your work. You will need to be happy to work on your own and as part of a team. You will need to show initiative and be prepared and ready to follow instructions and direction.
Fundamentally, we need someone who is hard working and is knowledgeable about health and safety / security.
You will approach the job with a positive, ‘can do and will do’ attitude and be reliable at all times.
You will join a friendly, welcoming and supportive staff team committed to providing the very best educational experience for our pupils.
The successful applicant will be:
• Punctual and reliable, with a strong commitment to maintaining high attendance standards and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school site.
• Able to manage their own workload effectively, prioritising tasks and working independently while seeking guidance and support from the Site Manager when required.
• Friendly, approachable and personable, building positive working relationships with staff, students, visitors and contractors.
• Aware of and sensitive to the school environment, understanding the importance of safeguarding, professionalism and maintaining a safe, secure site.
• Proactive and conscientious, taking pride in their work, showing initiative, and helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment for all.
Maidenhill is a school with real momentum, ambition and heart. We are a welcoming and inclusive 11–16 school where we want every young person to feel known, valued and challenged to achieve their very best. Our mantra - Be Kind, Aspire, Persevere, Achieve - is at the heart of everything we do and reflects the culture we work hard to build every day.
This is an especially exciting time to join Maidenhill. In 2026, we are celebrating our best-ever examination results, alongside an excellent Ofsted inspection in June 2026, where the school achieved the expected standard in every area. These successes reflect the dedication of our staff, the ambition of our students and the strength of a community that believes strongly in continual improvement.
Our expectations are high because our ambitions for young people are high. We want students to enjoy their five years with us, while being equally supported and challenged to become confident, happy and successful young adults, ready to access the very best opportunities beyond Maidenhill.
We are equally ambitious for our staff. We want Maidenhill to be a place where talented people enjoy coming to work, feel valued and supported, and are given genuine opportunities to develop professionally. As we continue the next stage of our journey, we are looking for people who share our values, believe in the potential of every young person and want to play their part in shaping an increasingly successful school.
Closing Date:- 9am on Monday 2nd November 2026.
