We are a small rural primary school in the heart of the Cotswolds, easily accessible from Cheltenham and Gloucester. We are seeking to recruit a hardworking, caring and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This position is until the end of the calendar year in the first instance. The role is Four days a week initially, 8.45am to 12.45pm
The successful candidate will:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with an Education, Health and Care
Plan (EHCP).
* Support the child to access learning opportunities both within the classroom and during wider
school activities.
* Implement strategies and interventions outlined in the child's EHCP and provision plan.
* Promote the child's independence, confidence and social development.
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, parents and external agencies to support the
child's progress and wellbeing.
* Adapt learning activities and resources to meet the child's individual needs.
* Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and target-setting as required.
* Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed strategies.
* Ensure the child's safety, welfare and inclusion at all times.
* Take an active role in the wider life of the school and contribute positively to our
supportive team environment.
