Bussage Primary School is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, can create a fun and safe environment, and is confident supporting a range of activities at the end of the school day.
Contract: Permanent, term time only
Pay: Grade 1, Scale Point 3 (£24,796 per year, pro rata)
Working pattern: 5.12 hours a week. Tuesday and Wednesday, 3:15pm-5:30pm & alternate Fridays 3:15pm- 4:30pm.
Start date: Wednesday 2nd September 2026
Interview date: TBC
Key responsibilities:
• Greeting children as they arrive, helping them transition calmly from the school day, and ensuring they feel safe and settled
• Preparing and serving after school snacks
• Overseeing a range of play, games, and structured activities
• Modelling and reinforcing the club’s expectations and school values
• Maintaining safeguarding standards
We are looking for someone who:
• Enjoys working with children
• Is organised, punctual and proactive
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Brings warmth, patience and a sense of fun to the role
