We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic School Caretaker to help maintain our school site, ensuring it remains safe, secure and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
The role includes carrying out routine maintenance and repairs, overseeing site security, completing health and safety checks, undertaking de-icing and gritting when required during cold weather, and liaising with contractors as necessary.
Contract: Permanent
Hours/work pattern: To be discussed and agreed; hours are flexible and dependant on the operational needs of the school
Additional: 4 weeks during the school holidays, plus occasional extra hours as required
Pay: Grade 4, Scale Point 7 (£26,403 FTE) - £13.69 per hour
Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Candidates must:
• Have good communication skills
• Be practical and resourceful
• Have a flexible and positive attitude
• Be willing to undertake role-specific training where required
