Science Technician

One position available on a permanent basis working between 32 and 36.25 hours per week over 37 weeks per year, predominantly during school term time.

Salary: Up to £19,574.42 pa (FTE £27,510) plus holiday pay of up to £3,043 pa based on 15.55% of annual salary.

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our Chemistry Department. This vacancy is suitable for graduates or those already working in the field. Candidates with specialisms in any of the Sciences are welcome to apply, however an interest or experience in Chemistry would be advantageous.

Candidates must have either previous experience of working within a scientific laboratory or possess a suitable qualification and have a willingness to learn.

In this key role you will work onsite, supervising and organising practical provisions across years 7 to 13 (including A Level and IB) and contribute to the safe and efficient running of the prep room.

The team of teachers and technicians is both friendly and professional and all share a deep commitment to supporting excellent teaching and learning. The department is thriving and well resourced.
