Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician

Our Technical Department is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to train as a Laboratory Technician. Perfect for someone with lab or food production experience who values accuracy and precision in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

  • Days: Monday-Sunday (five-day rotating schedule)
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Shift Times: Weekday shifts rotate between 05:30, 06:00, 07:00 & 12:00; Saturday at 08:00, Sunday at 06:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sampling and microbiological testing to ensure product quality.
  • Analyse and interpret results, identifying irregularities to maintain compliance.
  • Keep lab areas organized and follow all COSHH, Health & Safety, and Food Safety protocols.

(Note: Due to hygiene regulations, only one solid wedding band is permitted.)

Ideal Candidate Skills

  • Strong communicator who builds effective relationships
  • Experience maintaining high hygiene standards
  • GCSE (grade B or above) in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or relevant qualification in Biological Sciences

Desirable:

  • Previous lab experience in food or dairy industry
  • Knowledge of microbiology, food hygiene, and quality control standards

Training & Development

We offer clear progression pathways and development opportunities. You'll gain recognized qualifications, including COSHH, Level 2 Food Safety, Level 2 HACCP, and attend our Dairy Science course. Full support provided throughout your training.
