The Science Department at Pate’s is dedicated to fostering curiosity, innovation and an environment where students are encouraged to explore the wonders of science.
Each Science team has a Head of Department and experienced and knowledgeable teachers who are passionate about providing high-quality, engaging teaching that sparks curiosity and critical thinking, and making learning both exciting and meaningful.
With excellent facilities, including fifteen laboratories all fully equipped to teach up to A Level, the department is supported by a skilled and proactive team of Technicians.
We currently follow the AQA GCSE and A Level syllabuses in Physics. All students take Triple Science at GCSE and all sciences are very popular at A Level.
Co-curricular activities in the Science Department are vast, with students and staff encouraged to take part.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and driven Physics teacher to join a highly successful and engaging team at Pate’s.
You will be a dynamic, forward thinking, inspiring, energetic teacher, passionate about your subject. You will have an ongoing interest in the latest pedagogic research and its considered application in a range of academic contexts.
Able to teach up to and including A Level, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a real passion for your subject. You will have the ability to excite able students and be able to explain complex ideas with clarity.
This a part time position between 0.4 and 0.8 FTE. Please state the FTE you would be looking for on your application.
