Class People are currently recruiting for a Physics Teacher for a full-time supply role at a secondary school near Gloucester. This position is ideal for a qualified teacher looking for a stable, long-term placement through to the end of the academic year.

We are working closely with a supportive secondary school seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher who can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the secondary curriculum.

Physics Teacher Job Responsibilities

As a Physics Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching Physics at KS5 where required
Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
Supporting students’ scientific understanding, curiosity and confidence
Maintaining strong classroom and behaviour management
Assessing and monitoring student progress effectively
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To apply for this role, you should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Physics in a secondary school
The ability to teach across the secondary Physics curriculum
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
