Secretary
Staverton, Cheltenham

Business area: Non Accountancy roles
Description

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Secretary to join our team in Staverton. Although the job title is Secretary, the role itself is much broader than traditional secretarial work. You’ll be closely involved in supporting the wider team, coordinating busy schedules and helping the team stay on top of key deadlines and projects. It’s a varied, important role at the centre of the team.
If you enjoy keeping things running smoothly, like supporting others and take pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work, this could be a great fit.
You’ll support a group of fee‑earners within the team, becoming a go‑to person for organisation and coordination. A typical week will include:
- Coordinating diaries, arranging meetings and managing travel
- Preparing documents, letters and presentations
- Supporting billing processes and onboarding new clients, including AML checks
- Maintaining records, databases and internal systems
- Helping with team projects, internal events and occasional social activities
The team is collaborative and friendly, and you’ll play a key part in keeping everything on track.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years’ experience in a secretarial or administrative role
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Great organisation skills and strong attention to detail
- Someone who stays calm and reliable when plans change or deadlines shift
- Clear and confident communication skills with colleagues and clients
What We Offer
- Direct application bonus
- Free on‑site parking
- Profit share scheme
- 25 days’ annual leave, with the option to purchase up to 30
- Flexi‑time
- Enhanced employer pension contribution
- Life assurance – 4x annual salary
- Comprehensive health & wellbeing package, including online GP, mental health support and discounted gym membership
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Firm‑wide and team social events throughout the year
This is a full‑time, office‑based role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
If you’re looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, support a busy team and be part of a positive, forward‑thinking environment, we’d love to hear from you.
