The Role
We are currently seeking Support Worker in Gloucester to support individuals with diverse needs including young persons care, physical disabilities, challenging behaviours, autism and long-term health conditions within residential care settings
Shifts include:
Full and Part-time hours
Day or night shifts
12-hour or flexible rotas
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Support with mobility and use of specialist equipment (e.g. hoists, wheelchairs)
- Monitor wellbeing and report concerns
- Administer or prompt medication
- Promote independence and social engagement
- Maintain accurate daily records
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety protocols
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence (Advised but not required)
- A minimum of 6 months paid care experience
- Able to attend 5 days of in-person induction training (Cheltenham, Salisbury, or Chippenham)
- An enhanced DBS in children and young people.
- Have experience in people with Autism and learning disabilities.
- A complete level 1 Oliver McGowan training.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable
- Right to work in the UK (we do not provide visa sponsorship)
