Women & Families Team Lead (Female Only) 

The Nelson Trust is a leading charity providing trauma-informed support to people affected by substance use, multiple disadvantage and the criminal justice system. 

In partnership with Via, we're committed to ensuring women and families experiencing substance misuse and complex needs can access specialist, gender-responsive support. As our Women & Families Team Lead, you'll provide leadership to a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, effective service delivery while helping women and families achieve positive, lasting change.  

Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience) 
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week 
Location: Gloucester Women's Centre 

What will you do? 

• Lead, support and supervise Women’s Recovery Practitioners, Family Therapists and Family Practitioners. 
• Oversee the safe and effective delivery of women and family services within Gloucester Women’s Centre. 
• Promote trauma-informed, gender-responsive and whole-family approaches across the service. 
• Maintain oversight of safeguarding, risk management, caseload allocation, health and safety and service quality. 
• Build strong partnerships with agencies including Via, Probation, HMP Eastwood Park, Social Care, housing and health services. 
• Monitor performance, KPIs and reporting requirements, using data to drive continuous service improvement. 

What we are looking for 

• A full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel. 
• Significant experience supporting women and/or families with multiple and complex needs, including substance misuse. 
• A leadership qualification (or willing to work towards one) 
• Experience supervising staff, managing performance and assuring high-quality case management. 
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed, gender-responsive and whole-family approaches. 
• Experience of effective multi-agency partnership working and stakeholder engagement. 
• Confidence using performance data, KPIs and reporting to monitor service delivery and outcomes. 
• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and equality.
