About the role
We are recruiting a new member of the lifeguard team to provide a safe environment for students and to provide direct in pool support for students in all swimming activities promoting water confidence and encouraging their participation in practising swimming skills, sensory movement and relaxation in the pool.
A lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) and previous lifeguard experience is essential, and you should have some previous experience of young people and adults with physical disabilities and / or learning difficulties.
You’ll need good organisation skills, attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. You’ll also be expected to communicate directly with learners to support their learning and safety.
Based at our Ullenwood campus, you will work 16 hours per week during term time most likely Tues or Wednesday afternoon and short days Thursday / Friday with the possibility of additional weekend evening / weekend / holidays work as the need arises.
