Multi-drop Delivery Driver

Established in 1975, D J Perks & Son’s is a family run Wholesale fruit and vegetable company distributing first class produce across Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties, delivering to Shops, Restaurants, Hotels, Schools, The Care home sector and fast food outlets. We are one of Gloucestershire’s largest Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable distributers with strong family values and a company ethos of supplying the freshest Local produce from local farms and growers, and using the finest Seasonal British Produce.
The position we have is for a Multi-drop Delivery Driver making local rounds delivering wholesale fruit and vegetables and potatoes in 3.5 tonne vans with potential for some lorry work with the right qualifications.
The job is a manual physically demanding job and when busy can be quite high paced, and can involve several delivery rounds a day.
The hours and wage structure are as follows:
5 and half days per week with a total of 45 hours per week broken down as:
- Mon – Thursday 5am – 1pm
- Friday 5am -2pm
- Sat 5am -9am

The main responsibilities and functions of this role include:
- Driving vans and Warehouse duties
- Loading and unloading
- Intensive multi-drop rounds
- Delivery of fruit, vegetables and potatoes and dairy products
- Order picking and packing
- Complete stock rotations
The Requirements:
Essential:
- UK driving licence
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Hard working, used to heavy manual work
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service
- Good people skills
- Excellent team working
- Positive friendly attitude possessing high levels of commitment and motivation
- Good time keeping and flexibility
- Have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision
Desirable:
- Multi-drop experience
- Experience of the wholesale industry
- Van driving experience
- 7.5 tone lorry experience if possible
- CPC training

Salary: Gross £12.90 per hour
Hours Per Week: 45 hours per week over 5.5 days Monday to Saturday
