RESPONSIBLE TO: Through the Scrapstore Co-ordinator to the CEO and Board of Directors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To ensure that the GRC’s Scrapstore is well stocked and maintained for the benefit of customers. To carry out pre-arranged collections of materials from Gloucestershire companies supplying the Scrapstore.

This is a physically demanding job that includes lifting and moving products in a warehouse situation.

The post holder must hold a full clean driving licence.

SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To collect materials from suppliers on a regular weekly basis.
• Liaise with and maintain good relationships with corporate donators and others.
• To update collections records.
• To keep the Scrapstore stocked and replenished when needed.
• To ensure materials are well organised and accessible in the warehouse and back-up storage areas.
• Ensure the warehouse and Scrapstore areas are kept clean.
• To carry out weekly checks on the GRC’s vehicle and maintain it in a clean and roadworthy condition.

JOINT RESPONSIBILITIES WITH OTHER STAFF:

• The maintenance of the Centre as a clean and safe environment for visitors.
• To share in the planning, usage and maintenance of the Centre and site to ensure the most stimulating environment is created for visitors and users.

• To undertake appropriate tasks and responsibilities of other members of staff in the event of their temporary enforced absence or as directed by the Scrapstore Co-ordinator, CEO or the Board of Directors.

Salary: £12 per hour 12 months fixed contract, with potential to renew

Hours Per Week: 8 Hours per week (flexible across 2 week days)
