Are you a passionate professional ready to build your future?

Do you want to work in a supportive environment where your skills and contributions are valued?

Join us!

At Futura Learning Partnership, we are committed to creating an environment where every employee - whether in teaching, support, or leadership - can flourish. We strive to attract, develop, and retain the very best talent by creating a culture that values professional development, wellbeing, and inclusion.

Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Cover Supervisor at Sir Bernard Lovell Academy, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

OFSTED judged us “Good” in all areas during our most recent full inspection (November 2021)

As Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes or groups of pupils undertaking activities that have previously been prepared by appropriate teaching staff when the assigned teacher is not present on a short-term basis. There may also be a requirement to work with individuals or groups of pupils at other times to support learning or pastoral activities or to provide other relevant support to teaching staff.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for a positive, proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our committed team of educators. The successful candidate will cover lessons across the school when teachers are absent, doing their best to introduce content and facilitate/support ongoing learning.

• Qualifications: English and Maths GCSE qualifications (Grade 4 or above) would be beneficial for this role.

• Experience: Prior experience of working with children and/or teaching/coaching would be beneficial for this role.

• Skills: More important than direct experience in a school is the ability to engage and connect with young people in a warm and supportive way whilst also communicating our high expectations of their conduct and effort. The successful candidate will be proactive and able to quickly adapt and learn new subject matter.

You will demonstrate a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.

You will align with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to your work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.

What We Offer to Support Your Growth

• Professional Growth: Continuous Professional Development (CPD), inset days, rotation and secondment opportunities, and leadership succession programmes.

• Wellbeing Support: Initiatives like ‘Wellbeing Moments,’ flexible working arrangements, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for mental health support.

• Comprehensive Benefits: Generous defined pension schemes, Health Cash-back Plan (covering dentist, physiotherapy appointments etc.), and multiple retail discount schemes.

• Sustainability Commitment: Reducing our carbon footprint through our Climate and Nature initiatives across all schools.

• Inclusive Culture: A collaborative environment where diversity is celebrated, helping staff bring their best selves to work and thrive in their roles.
