School Meals Supervisory Assistant - Resource Base Start date: ASAP following safeguarding checks Contract: 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only + 5 Inset Days
Compass Point is a diverse, welcoming and child-centered school in the heart of Bedminster.
We are looking for a friendly, caring and compassionate Schools Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our dedicated lunchtime team, to support SEND children with mealtimes and play activities over lunch. The role is 2 hours per day, 5 days per week term time only.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working with young children, will be reliable and enjoy working as part of a hard-working, committed team
Your main duties will be:
1. To help the children during mealtimes, encouraging a safe, clean and pleasant environment for children to eat their lunch
2. Assist in setting up and cleaning dining areas during lunch service
3. Encourage the children and engage in high quality, inclusive play activities
4. Manage the behaviour, safety and welfare of pupils during this period, in line with the schools Behaviour and Safeguarding Policies
5. Work collaboratively with other members of the school team and build positive relationships with our children
