Quarry Supervisor
Ledbury
Location: Bromsberrow Quarry, Ledbury, HR8 1NX
Employment Type: Full-Time 0700 - 1700& every other Saturday 0730 - 1300

We are a dynamic and growing company specialising in waste recovery, aggregates and concrete. We take pride in maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety, and customer service. We are looking for a responsible and dedicated Quarry Supervisor to join our team.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Bromsberrow Quarry, including managing the site team, programming work, ensuring site safety and providing excellent service to our customers.
You will also manage the stock and oversee developments on the site as it undergoes exciting planning changes.
This is a pivotal role requiring self-discipline, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a close-knit team, with opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on the Quarry Development Plan to optimise production and prepare the site for upcoming developments
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for staff, contractors and customers
- Support out-loading and weighbridge operations, including accurate stock management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee material stock levels and coordinate with the team to manage supplies effectively
- Communicate professionally with drivers, site staff and contractors, providing clear instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment around the weighbridge area
About You:
- Proven experience as a Quarry Supervisor or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of quarry operation sand equipment
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and a team-player attitude
- Good IT skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in quarry management or a related field are preferred, including qualifications to operate quarry machinery
