We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and proactive Midday Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable and positive experience for all children. You will supervise pupils during lunch, support positive behaviour, encourage active play and help create an inclusive environment where all children can thrive. In addition to supervising pupils, the successful candidate will assist with the preparation and clearing of the dining environment, helping to ensure lunchtime runs smoothly and efficiently.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are looking for someone who is willing to undertake professional development and training, including:
• Paediatric First Aid
• Behaviour support and de-escalation strategies
• Team Teach training
• Safeguarding training
• OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approaches
The role will involve:
• Supervising children during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors
• Setting up and clearing away dining tables and ensuring the dining area is left clean and tidy
• Supporting pupils during lunch service and encouraging good table manners
• Promoting positive behaviour and strong relationships
• Supporting and developing high-quality play opportunities through our OPAL programme
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
• Responding appropriately to minor first aid incidents
• Working effectively as part of the wider school team
• Recording and reporting any concerns in line with school procedures
