Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

Sphere Solutions is recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK residential developer on a nine-month freelance contract in Bristol.

The company is a well-established housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments, including large-scale apartment schemes. This role will focus on a reinforced concrete (RC) frame apartment project, offering an excellent opportunity to join an established commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the development.

• Oversee cost control, forecasting, valuations and financial reporting.

• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.

• Monitor project budgets, variations and cost changes.

• Work closely with the project team to maintain commercial performance.

• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.

• Strong commercial experience on residential developments and RC frame apartment projects.

• Experience managing subcontractor packages, procurement and final accounts.

• Excellent knowledge of cost control, forecasting and contractual procedures.

• Strong communication, negotiation and commercial management skills.
