The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the management of construction projects from tender through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to the exceptional standards our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender appraisals.
• Manage project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Monitor project expenditure and identify cost variances.
• Negotiate contracts, variations and subcontractor accounts.
• Carry out regular site visits to assess progress and measure completed works.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts for management.
• Maintain accurate financial records and contractual documentation.
• Ensure projects remain commercially successful while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with site teams, clients, consultants and suppliers.

About You

The ideal candidate will have excellent commercial awareness, strong negotiation skills and experience delivering high-quality residential refurbishment or bespoke construction projects.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing projects from tender through to final account.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
