We currently have a vacancy for a KS1 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant for 27.45hrs per week, to support the learning and welfare of children. The roles will also include five hours a week mid-day supervision.
The successful candidates will demonstrate that they can support children with a range of needs, work as part of a team, and support the planning and delivery of learning opportunities that meet the needs of all children, including those with EHCPs.
The pay scale will reflect previous experience and qualifications ranging from Grade 3 [unqualified] – Grade 4 or Grade 5 [Relevant qualification in Education].
The successful candidate will need to:
• be a team player
• have good interpersonal and communication skills
• ideally have experience of SEN or a willingness to learn
• ideally have experience of working in KS1
• be able to conduct and support learning in 1:1 and/or small group learning situations
• communicate assessments and evaluations of learning to the class teacher and SENDCo as required
• build good relations with children, parents and staff
• be enthusiastic, hard-working, caring, flexible and self-motivated
• work to support our school ethos of helping children become Successful, Happy, Ambitious, Responsible and Proud
