Stone with Woodford CofE Primary School is looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our school team and support pupil learning. You will be working with a named pupil under an EHCP. This will involve midday supervision. The applicant should be able to adapt the learning and provide interventions, under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENDCo.

The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to build supportive relationships with children providing the necessary guidance and instruction to help pupils grow towards achieving their full potential
- Be patient and have a positive attitude
- Have strong behaviour management skills and a variety of behaviour management strategies
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support the child’s needs
- Be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the busy life of the school
- Have experience working with children who have cognition and learning needs
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school
- Experience in ELSA, Thrive or Nurture support in schools

This post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 Point 5-6 (depending on the candidate's experience) on a fixed-term basis as each is linked to an EHCP; your contract will be linked to this EHCP, therefore if the child’s needs change or the child leaves the school, the contract will be amended accordingly.

Interviews will be on September 1st with an ASAP start.

This post is a part-time position, with the following hours, with a possibility to increase hours in future:
Monday 9am – 1pm
Wednesday 9am – 1pm
Thursday 9am-11am
