We are seeking a caring, committed and reflective Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is particularly well suited to individuals who are exploring a future career in education, those taking a gap year, or those returning to work after a career break. Full support and high-quality professional development will be provided.
The Role
You will work alongside teachers and colleagues to support learning, wellbeing and inclusion for all pupils. A key aspect of the role is providing thoughtful, patient and consistent support for children with additional and complex needs, enabling every child to feel valued, safe and able to succeed.
The role requires a genuine willingness to support all pupils, a calm and compassionate approach, and a belief that every child can shine brightly when the right support is in place.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Is passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
Has a strong commitment to inclusion and equality of opportunity
Is willing to support pupils with a range of additional and complex needs
Works well as part of a team and is open to learning and development
Is reflective, reliable and ready to make a positive difference each day
Previous experience in a school is welcome but not essential. This role is an excellent opportunity for those considering teacher training or a longer-term career in education.
What We Offer:
A supportive and nurturing staff team who work together so that everyone can shine brightly
High-quality continuing professional development, including training in inclusive practice and supporting complex needs
The benefit of being part of a multi-academy trust, offering collaboration, shared expertise and clear development pathways to enable you to flourish within your role
A school culture driven by the belief that together we shine brightly and together we make a difference, for both children and staff
This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to children’s lives while developing their own skills, confidence and experience within education.
The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 or 4 depending on experience, on a fixed-term maternity cover basis.
This is a part-time post for 22.5 hours a week (Tuesday-Friday) plus 2 hours of Midday Supervisor work per week.
Closing date for applications is 22nd May 2026 at midday.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
