Tredworth Junior School is currently seeking an excellent Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language qualification level 2 or 3 and with experience of working with children and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The role could involve supporting children on a 1:1 basis. We are looking for applicants with a positive approach who are able to engage both the child and other children if applicable. Applicants should be committed to making a difference. The role will also include more general teaching assistant duties for periods of the day.
The post will be fixed term, linked to funding, for an individual pupil while they remain at our school. The post is 39 weeks per annum (including INSET days), for 29 hours 10 minutes a week, daily 8.40 am to 3.15 pm over 5 working days Monday to Friday, term time only.
The post will commence as soon as possible and will be fixed term linked to funding for an individual pupil, while they remain at our school.
The ideal candidate will have a confident and outgoing nature and a passion for working with children with additional needs. Previous experience of supporting SEND children is preferable as is the ability to work collaboratively to meet the needs of children.
