The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust seek to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work at Winchcombe Abbey C of E Primary School.
We are seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The child has complex medical needs including epilepsy and cerebral palsy, and requires consistent, personalised support to access learning and thrive in a mainstream classroom setting. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player to become immersed in our whole school community. We have a strong reputation for our inclusive approach to learning and form lasting relationships with our families and wider community. Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted support in line with EHCP outcomes
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and personal care needs
- Monitor and respond to medical needs, including seizure protocols, under guidance from healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENDCo, and external agencies to ensure inclusive provision
- Support emotional regulation, communication, and social development
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to review meetings
The post is offered at Grade 3 on a fixed term.
	This is a full time post for 27.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday 8.35am-12.15pm
	and 1.15pm-3.15pm.
