The Role
Thrive Education is working in partnership with a specialist education provider to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference, supporting learners with complex needs through a personalised, nurturing and holistic approach to education. Due to the location of the provision, drivers are strongly preferred as there isn't accessible public transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism and social, emotional and communication difficulties
- Support learners to access a personalised curriculum and achieve individual outcomes
- Promote emotional wellbeing, independence and positive behaviour through consistent, compassionate support
- Assist teaching staff with the planning and delivery of adapted learning activities
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and external professionals
- Record progress and contribute to reviews and support plans where required
About You
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND
- Experience working in education, care or a similar support role is desirable (but not essential)
- Calm, patient and resilient with a flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with learners
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to the rural location

Salary: £90-£105 per day
