Henbury Court Primary Academy is looking to appoint an organised and efficient Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our nursery class. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting, but this is not essential as we are willing to invest and grow the right applicant into the role. Henbury Court is proudly part of Trust in Learning Academics who are in the process of merging with Cathedral Schools Trust. It's such an exciting time to join the school with opportunities for support networks, career development and partnership work available.

Job overview

The successful candidate will lead by example and develop opportunities to engage and support our children and families. They will organise and manage the interventions they lead. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will work well as part of our fantastic team. The applicant will be able to operate in line with school policies at all times, raising any health & safety, safeguarding or other concerns to a senior member of staff in line with policy guidelines.

Job requirements

  • GCSE Grade C or higher in English & Maths
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Evidence of working within EYFS setting
  • Evidence of paediatric first aid training
  • Evidence of working with vulnerable learners and making a difference to pupil outcomes
  • Able to work well under pressure and thrive as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain a high work rate and to juggle a range of tasks and competing priorities
