At Cam Woodfield Infant School we aim to develop happy, healthy, independent learners who work towards a better future for themselves and for the world in which they live. We are looking for an enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team of staff working as a SEN TA to support a Reception class pupil in our school who has an EHCP.

Hours will be to 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.

As the post is linked to an EHCP this is a fixed term position in the first instance, the contract may be extended due to needs of others in the setting. The successful candidate will also undertake half an hour of lunchtime supervision.

Candidates should:
• Be able to work independently to help prepare learning resources and materials for lessons that enable children to access the curriculum.
• Be able to deliver high quality support using the details of the EHCP to ensure best outcomes.
• Be a good team player and be able to work with and under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to undertake one.
• Show good written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to liaise with parents / carers.
• Be committed to high standards of inclusion and be able to demonstrate a balanced approach to difficulties using both nurture and structure.
• Be positive and be willing to go the extra mile for the children in their care.
