Food and Textiles Technician

Scale:   Grade D point 3 - 6 £24796 - £25989, full time equivalent which equates to £21279 - £22303 pro rata, pay award pending

Hours:   37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + inset) (0.8582 FTE)
  8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Thursday
  8:00am – 3:30pm, Friday

We require a Food and Textiles Technician, who will work within our Food and Art & Design Departments, providing practical and administrative support.  The departments are friendly and cohesive, and you will work with our teachers and other support staff ‘going the extra mile’ to ensure that we provide the very best support for our staff and students.   Whilst you will work within both departments, the majority of the position is within the Food Department (approximately 75%) with the remainder being in Textiles.

Ideally candidates will have experience in food preparation environments and working with sewing machines, however full training will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with high expectations, who has the ability to cope with periods of pressure and is able to prioritise their workload effectively.
